A Month of Memories: February

February is always a fun month to me – it heralds the beginning of Six Nations, and it also kicks off my birthday month!

For the first time in years I threw a party for my birthday – the theme was “Party in the USA”, and there were surprisingly no Trumps, a few statues of Liberty, a baseball player… we threw on some hot dogs, made vodka jelly, had a Spotify shared playlist so people could contribute in the run up… all in all, it was AWESOME. ๐Ÿ™‚

I felt super lucky to have had lots of my closest friends there especially some who I hadn’t seen in six years! It made me feel very loved.

A few of us went out to the world’s worst club in Putney where we danced the night away to bad music and drank Apple Sourz. Suffice it to say my old age didn’t not survive that hangover well but the polaroids are something I will treasure forever!

The following weekend, however, marked an evenย more exciting weekend – it was myย actual birthday but that wasn’t the reason for my excitement.

My alarm was set for four am, I whipped up a little welcome banner and hopped in the car with Mum and Dad to head to Heathrow arrivals, eagerly awaiting the arrival of my brother and sister-in-law… and my twin nieces who I hadn’t yet met. Seeing them for the first time and getting those first cuddles is a memory I’ll treasure forever!

I also got to meet up with two of my all time favourites for a swift drink – Abbey and Hels! They both gave me theย cutest birthday presents, they are the most thoughtful pair and I can’t wait to feature and use their lovely gifts! Thank you so much ladies!

Later in the month, Hels and I took a little trip to Kew to visit the Thai Orchid Festival – her post here, and mine here

And I saw out the month of February by hopping on a jet plane and undertaking the first travel of 2018 to Iceland to celebrate one of my favourite peoples’ 30th birthdays. I’m so excited to share my latest travel adventures with you!

I’m really sad to be saying goodbye to February – its been such a special month with getting to meet the Twins. I’m already planning my big travel adventure of 2018, and I’m sure it’ll include a little stop in Singapore!

How was your February? ๐Ÿ™‚

Hooray for a fabulous February! I’m so glad you had such special birthday celebrations and got to catch up with some old friends, I’m sure those Polaroids will be something that you treasure forever! I still have the Polaroid of you and I before we went to Hels’s wedding in my purse, it’s so cute! I can imagine the total joy of those first cuddles with your baby nieces, they are both absolutely adorable! I hope you’re able to see them again soon! It was lovely to spend some time with you as well, fingers crossed we will be able to meet up in March and April too! Another great thing that you did in February was to knock out a whole load of brilliant blog posts, round of applause from me on that front!!
