It has been ever such a long while since I posted on here… It’s strange really, I have loads of posts, with photos, queued and ready to go.
I have a Buffer subscription that is gathering dust.
I have notebooks filled with good post ideas, pretty much prime and ready to be written up.
There’s no real writers block, or any discernible reason why I just haven’t been… bothered. I’ve been up – I travelled Sardinia on a solo kayaking holiday (more on that later!), and I’ve equally been down, I lost someone really special to me.
It’s just all been so … hectic! I love blogging, but I like it as my online diary, that I’m fortunate enough to have a few people read from time to time; sometimes life isn’t that thrilling and sometimes its just all too much to share.
One of my best friends recently returned from Oz for a brief visit, and reminded me of how good it is to have goals and things you want to do and achieve. We talked endlessly about the past year, relationships, friendships, living in new cities, living in old cities, and reminisced over situations we thought were well within our control, only for them not to work out and place us on some pretty amazing trajectories (career, travel, boys…).
It’s made me feel a bit more focussed about what it is that’s giving me itchy feet, why I don’t feel settled at the moment, and what I need to do to make myself feel like I’m working towards something important.
I’m excited to blog again, I’m excited to have plans again and I’m excited to have a ‘bigger picture’ focus to look at again…
It’s not going to be easy, but I definitely think its all going to be worth it 🙂
It sounds like youve had so much on your plate lately, I can completely understand why your motivation to blog hasn’t quite been there! Sometimes when I’m a bit overwhelmed with general “life” stuff, even when I do have a spare hour or two, the last thing I want to do is be blogductive (blog…productive – too far? 😂) I hope your trip to Sardinia refreshed you and that you’ll be back to sharing your gorgeous travel pics in no time! I for one can’t wait to hear what you’ve been up to!
Sorry to hear about the loss of a loved one as well – its never easy to say goodbye. Always here if you need to talk, never more than a message away!
Lots of love
Exactly – the spare hour or two have basically been devoted to binge watching Netflix, or any other mindless task I can endure when I just needed time out. It’s helped to sharpen by blogductivity (lols)! Sardinia was just what the doctor ordered, I can’t wait to share pics of the beautiful landscape! Thank you for always being there, you are an absolute angel!
Lovely to have you back in the blogging community, Kate! So sorry for your loss, take care of yourself! If you need anything at all, do let me know 🙂 Hope you had a nice time in Sardinia. It certainly sounds exciting with the kayaking!! Looking forward to hearing more about it! Glad to hear you had a nice time with your friend, I’d say it was nice to see her! Best wishes. Kate xx
Aw thank you so much for the lovely comment, Kate! I’m very happy to be back although I would love to head back to Sardinia ASAP! xxx
Yaaaay welcome back! I can’t wait to see your upcoming posts, but I think sometimes it’s good to take a break, a step back and take a breather. You’ve had so much going on, and you need to be looking after yourself. Love YOU xxxxx
Love YOU too! Thank you for being such an amazing friend to me. Im super happy to be back. xxxxxxxxxx
I feel like we can all relate to this. Sometimes there are just a million other things we’d rather do than blog. I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling a bit more motivated now though, a break is sometimes necessary to rethink your goals and work out what’s important! So looking forward to seeing what you have in store on here x

I think its so important to just do it when it feels right! Thanks for your lovely comment, I’m looking forward to sharing lots of stuff coming up!
I’ve been in exactly the same boat where I’ve wanted to blog and I’ve had plenty of ideas and even posts written waiting to go, but I just… haven’t! I’ve been busy with work and a convention and a holiday, so that’s probably why. I’m glad you’re back though! WE CAN DO THIS!
WE CAN DO IT! For sure!
Glad to have you back! Sorry about your lost one, sending you all the love. It’s always good to have a step back but it’s true to stay on your goals and it’s great that you have a best friend to remind you of that!
Look forward to reading more from you!
