It’s become a tradition that every year, my Mum, two sisters and I get treated to a spa day for Mum’s birthday. It is literally impossible to co-ordinate our diaries; Mum’s birthday is Boxing Day, and we finally managed to settle on the date of April 22nd. The fun even starts at looking at which ones to select – we had a look at lots of different spas, but finally settled on The Grove, London’s Country Estate. Set in 300 acres of Hertfordshire countryside, but only 18 miles outside of London, it was the perfect little 5* spot for us to met up – just us girls, no husbands or kids, so that we could really get down and catch up on all of the gossip.
